Lakewood, N.J. – The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) has named Sarah Snell a 2023 Ovation Award winner in the Woman to Watch category. The Ovation Awards were announced October 4 and distributed in seven categories: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Emerging Leaders; Exceptional Educators; Impact; Innovation; Lifetime Leader and Women to Watch. Ms. Snell is one of five individuals honored by the NJCPA this year.
The Woman to Watch category applauds the growth and success of female NJCPA members for their leadership, potential, contributions and/or commitment to fostering the success of their colleagues.
Sarah Snell is the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Client Accounting & Advisory Services at HFA. At HFA, she oversees the day-to-day operations in administration, human capital, finance, technology, facilities, and marketing. Ms. Snell advocates for the significance of operations in the growth of CPA firms. She previously held the position of President of the NJ Chapter of the CPA Firm Management Association (CPAFMA), and currently holds the role of Director of Growth & Membership on CPAFMA’s national Board of Directors. CPAFMA empowers CPA firms to succeed by providing a community to CPA Firm Managers and Managing Partners. Through this network, Ms. Snell is able share resources, tools, and knowledge, as well as exchange implementation strategies for growth and potential between her peers. Furthermore, at HFA, Ms. Snell is eager to encourage professionals of all ages to hone in on their talents, and she invests in the interests of her coworkers by providing insight and connections whenever possible. Ms. Snell truly fosters a culture of participation, growth, and support within the accounting field and at HFA.
