LAKEWOOD, NJ – Lauren Holman, CPA, PSA and Shareholder at Holman Frenia Allison, PC (HFA) in Lakewood, will be receiving recognition as a “Woman of Distinction” from the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore at their annual Women of Distinction & Community Partners Gala on Wednesday, April 19, from 6 to 10p.m., at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale.
The Woman of Distinction award celebrates extraordinary women who exemplify the Girl Scout Promise as business, community, and philanthropic leaders. Honorees display courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place and are role models for Girl Scouts and all women. “Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is proud to recognize outstanding role models in our community for their strength of character, dedicated community service, emphasis on life-long learning, along with their dedication to fostering self-confidence and leadership skills in others,” said Heather Coburn, Chief Executive Officer for Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore.
Lauren Holman proudly serves as the lead Partner in the Not-for Profit and Commercial Audit and Attestation Division of HFA. “I am extremely honored and humbled to be selected by the Girls Scouts of the Jersey Shore as one of this year’s Women of Distinction,” said Lauren. “It has always been a passion of mine to serve the community.”
Over the past 19 years, Lauren has discovered her true passion is helping share her knowledge of accounting and auditing with the not-for-profit community. She is always looking for ways to help her clients spread their mission while ensuring their financial future is secure. Lauren’s focus doesn’t end at simply the financial services she provides, she also believes strongly in giving back in other ways.
At HFA, Lauren leads the volunteer and community service program called HFA Cares. Throughout the year, HFA sponsors several events where employees are empowered to give back to the community. “I plan a variety of events ranging from on-site volunteer service to collection and donation drives,” stated Holman. Lauren feels strongly that service at its greatest moment is when the reward is beyond measure.
Lauren is the Board Chair of Fulfill (formally the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties). Additionally, she sits on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern and Coastal New Jersey, as well as for the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, chairing the audit committee. Lauren also serves on the executive board of Memorial Middle School and Ocean Road PTOs. In September 2016, Lauren was recognized by the GSJS as a “Phenomenal Woman Under 40.”
